Diverse Flora & Fauna of Pench

Pench National Park is known for its vibrant and diverse flora and fauna. The forested area is a blend of dry deciduous forest and tropical moist deciduous forest, and is rich with beautiful shrubs trees and climbers. Teak, Mahua, Tendu, Bija, Amaltas and Palas all find their home here. The 'Kullu tree' (a species of gum tree) in Pench is a highlight. Charmingly swaying bamboo grasses line the water courses and dot the valleys. In addition there are many rare varieties of herbs and grasses in this region which are of medicinal use.
